Overview of Project
A 31,000m² post-tensioned hardstand project was completed for the Port of Melbourne Corporation by Leightons (CPB). This involved 8,000m³ of VicRoads specification concrete. The average pour size was 2,600m², with approximately 700m³ poured per pour. To mitigate the risk of cold joints in the post-tensioned slabs (due to the large concrete volumes and pour area), all work commenced at 1:00 am, ensuring prompt concrete delivery and preserving slab integrity. The project was completed within 12 weeks by the expert team at SpeedPro civil.
