Overview of Project

Lend Lease contracted SpeedPro Civil, and the scope included re-strengthening two existing cores, ground slabs, and all suspended slabs. In situ concrete curved walls, pads, strip footings, and loading dock slabs were also constructed. With the deadline of the 2017 Australian Open, time constraints were a significant challenge, as all concrete work had to be scheduled around events and concerts. Simultaneously we also successfully worked on the Stage 3 Redevelopment of the Melbourne Park, with all footings completed efficiently using two Caterpillar excavators. A busy few months saw the majority of hollow-core slabs, post-tensioned slabs, ground slabs, and the function centre completed before the 2019 Australian Open. We are pleased to contribute to this iconic project, continuing its successful involvement from Melbourne Park Stage 2.
