Overview of Project
Work was completed for the Level Crossing Removal Authority by CPB/Lend Lease, involving the installation of 1,375 precast derailment kerb panels onto the elevated rail corridor. The project also included fixing approximately 1,150 tonnes of reinforcement (including electrical continuity welding), casting 15,877 ferrules to bond the rail plinths to the deck, placing and finishing 10,227m² of suspended concrete rail corridor slabs, forming, reinforcing, and pouring 74 Super T diaphragms, and forming and installing 214 drainage cover plates. Meeting significant time constraints required multiple work fronts and crews working day and night, up to seven days a week, during occupation periods. Proactive planning ensured all productivity requirements were met, delivering a quality product within the allocated time.
