Overview of Project

SpeedPro civil completed a multifaceted construction project for the Australian Defence Force, contracted through Lend Lease. The scope encompassed a new Vehicle Loading Ramp, including associated facilities, hardstand, and pavement; a four-bay Inspection Ramp facility with store rooms and supporting pavement/services; foundations (pad and strip footings) and a specialised POL pit (water and chemical resistant); a suspended heavy vehicle inspection ramp slab; infill, apron, and approach slabs; an in situ suspended POL store concrete lid; foundations (pad footings) and a paving slab for a new open Training Shelter; a new small open Vehicle Shelter (six vehicle/trailer bays with pavement/services); and a new large open Vehicle Shelter (48 vehicle/trailer bays, training rooms, store rooms, and pavement/services). Logistical challenges related to the site’s distance from Melbourne were effectively overcome through strong communication and supplier relationships.
